Lauren Cole grew up in Los Angeles and is committed to giving back to the community where she has been fortunate to thrive.
Professionally, Lauren’s career has been spent on the business side of the entertainment industry. After working for Bain and Company and the Strategic Planning Department of Warner Bros., she spent many years in International Television at Sony Pictures where she launched, invested in, and oversaw over 30 cable networks around the world. She was also COO of PacketVideo, which was the first company to stream video over wireless networks.
In 2002 she set up consulting group Cole Media, where she and her colleagues helped nearly 200 clients evaluate and launch new businesses in entertainment, including U.S. and international cable and broadcast networks, streaming services, production companies, post production, and a wide range of other businesses. Clients included Netflix, Comcast/NBCU, Disney/ABC, Yahoo!, AARP, TV One, Ovation TV, the US DOJ, Oprah Winfrey Network, BBC Worldwide, PBS, HBO Latin America, and many more.
In 2025 Lauren shifted from paid consulting to nonprofit boards and volunteer work. She has been on the boards of the Brentwood Community Council and the South Brentwood Residents Association (where she currently serves as President) for nearly 20 years, and she has recently joined the boards of Meals on Wheels West LA and Haven Hills.
Lauren has an A.B. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
