By employing underutilized parking lots, Safe Parking LA fills a gap in homeless services and addresses the unique problems faced by adults and families whose only source of shelter is their vehicle. Our programs provide safety through secure overnight parking, basic dignity by restoring much-needed access to restrooms and running water, and empowerment through strengths-based case management to a return to stable housing.

Founded in 2017, Safe Parking LA is now the largest safe parking program in Los Angeles and is the only provider of safe lots exclusively focused on vehicular homelessness. We currently operate in San Fernando Valley, Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, and West Los Angeles including a program on the Veteran’s Administration campus.

Case Manager (Full Time)

Case Managers are responsible for providing housing-focused case management services to participants living in their vehicles enrolled in Safe Parking LA. Case Managers provide direct program connection and engage in community outreach activities to ensure people experiencing homelessness living in their vehicles are familiar with the available program and support through Safe Parking LA. As a Case Manager, you play a crucial role in assessing the needs of our participants, developing personalized housing service plans, and connecting participants with essential resources and housing solutions. Your empathetic and participant-centered approach will help support and empower individuals to overcome their housing challenges and regain stability. You will be responsible for participant file management, reporting, meeting outlined goals and outcomes, and maintaining contract compliance.

Development Associate (Full Time)

The Development Associate supports Safe Parking LA’s mission by advancing annual and community giving initiatives, assisting with grants management, and serving as the frontline representative for general inquiries within Safe Parking LA’s emerging Development Department. This role offers a flexible, hybrid work environment and is ideal for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative early career professional interested in nonprofit development. Marketing & Communications Associate (Part Time)

The Marketing & Communications Associate plays a vital role in amplifying the mission and impact of Safe Parking LA by driving its digital presence and communication strategies. This role combines digital marketing, social media management, graphic design, and email campaign production to engage donors, stakeholders, and the wider community to advance our mission and values to end vehicular homelessness.

Volunteer Coordinator (Part Time)

The Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in engaging and managing volunteers, mutual aid networks, and corporate and service groups to support Safe Parking LA’s mission to end vehicular homelessness. This position advances the growth and success of our volunteer base of support, ensures the efficient operation of the volunteer program, and fosters meaningful relationships to drive impact. It is ideal for someone passionate about building community through volunteerism and collaboration.
