Safe Parking LA employs underused parking lots to support Angelenos whose only shelter is their vehicle. In addition to an overnight parking spot, we support participants’ health and wellness and open doors to housing.
You can start the application process with Safe Parking LA by calling us, visiting us in-person by appointment, or filling out the online interest form below.
With the online process, a staff member will be in touch within 24 hours. Please begin the application process by filling out the interest form below. Once you submit the interest form, SPLA’s Warmline Coordinator will be in touch within 24 hours to complete the application process.

Review Eligibility
- Vehicle is operational
- Driver’s License is valid
- Authorized operator of vehicle
- Safe Parking Lot Designation/Referrals
- Submit Vehicle Compliance Documents: Valid Driver’s License, Insurance, Registration
- Complete Welcome Packet and issue a SPLA Parking Permit
- For VA lot: DD-214 or VA card
